C.A.R.E (Cancer Awareness Reaching Everyone), sponsored by Ms. Ritchie and co-chaired by Marcus Prasad and Mary Chen, is a legacy project that has run for the past three years.
As C.A.R.E Bears, we focus on bringing about more awareness of cancer in our school and community, especially in regards to children who are afflicted with this illness. We organize a yearly Toy Drive, from Jan 9th - Feb 12th, to collect new unwanted toys like CD's, books, puzzles, board games, and figurines to bring to the kids at BC Children's Hospital. Please consider saving unwanted presents from the holiday season to donate in the new year!

*********UPDATE*********
One of Interact’s local projects, CARE Club, has recently ended their very successful BC Children’s Hospital Toy Drive. Rounding up many boxes full of new games, toys, books and many other things, they were able to put smiles on the faces of Vancouver’s sick children in the oncology ward for Valentine’s Day. The CARE club would like to thank every McMath teacher and student that contributed to this amazing project, especially Mrs. Ritchie and Mrs. Simonson who were key sponsors in the Toy Drive’s success. It has been an amazing experience working together with a great group of people to help those who are most in need.
